Doctoral Research
The graduate program in biology provides individual depth of experience in a self-selected subject of biology, with major subjects including biophysics, cellular, computational, developmental, and molecular biology, genetics, immunology, microbiology, and systems biology. Joint MD/PhD programs are also available with the Kaiser Permanente, UCLA, and USC medical schools, with the PhD awarded by Caltech.
