Graduate study in electrical engineering leads to the Ph.D., which offers two tracks: EE only and Medical and Electrical Engineering (Med-EE), the latter offered jointly with the Department of Medical Engineering and shown on the diploma as Ph.D. in Medical and Electrical Engineering. Students complete research, coursework, a qualifying oral examination, candidacy, and a thesis with final defense.
