Criminology is the scientific study of crime and delinquency. Criminologists use concepts, theories, and methods from the social and behavioral sciences to explore the causes and consequences of criminal behavior and juvenile delinquency. Completing the criminology major prepares students for graduate study in criminology, criminal justice, or law, and for entry-level positions in law enforcement, legal, correctional, or human services agencies.
