To become a CSIA Certified Sweep®, you must complete a CCS® review and pass the CCS® exam. There are three flexible options: 1. Attend the CSIA National Training Academy in PLainfield, IN This is CSIA’s flagship program—the one everyone in the industry should have under their belt, no matter if you’re brand new or a seasoned pro. Six action-packed days (Monday through Saturday) of hands-on training, insider knowledge, and direct access to instructors who live and breathe this work. And when the dust settles? You’ll take your exam on the final day and walk out with the credential that sets you apart. 2. Take the 1-day CCS Review and pass the exam We offer live review sessions—both in-person and virtual—so you can prep the way that works best for you. These fast-paced, high-energy classes cut straight to the essentials from the Chimney and Venting Essentials manual, giving you the focused instruction you need to feel confident. And the best part? You can sit for the exam right after the review and put that knowledge to work immediately. 3. Take the online review through SureFire and schedule your exam with CSIA Prefer to study on your own time? The self-paced review through SureFire lets you move at your own speed, with 28 days to work through slides and quizzes whenever it fits your schedule. Once you’ve wrapped it up, you’ll have up to a year to schedule your exam and make it official.
