The Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) certificate program is designed to qualify students in the shielded metal arc welding processes on either plate or pipe in accordance to the American Welding Society (AWS) or the American Petroleum Institute (API) welding procedures. These courses can be offered concurrently as CEU courses.1 or API 1104 certifications.
