The Chemistry major offers programs in General Chemistry and Chemistry-Pre-Medical. Students following the General Chemistry program are provided with a foundation for graduate study in chemistry or preparation for a career as a professional chemist in industry and research, and are also prepared for secondary school teaching and health-related vocations such as dentistry and optometry. The Pre-Medical program serves students planning to continue their education in the medical field.
