Art & Art History
Dickinson College
The Art & Art History major offers an Art History option and a Studio Art option, each consisting of 12 courses. Art history students demonstrate mastery over specific works, figures, styles, and periods in the history of the arts and accurately interpret images and objects in their contexts. Studio art students employ technical skills and material knowledge relevant to their chosen media and work across both 2-D and 3-D disciplines. The degree requires 32 courses (not semester credit hours).
