Chemistry

Chemistry majors apply core ideas in chemistry to explain phenomena or solve problems, apply chemistry laboratory techniques and execute appropriate data analysis, and use appropriate communication skills to disseminate chemistry ideas. The major is offered with an option leading to American Chemical Society (ACS) certification, in which students also design and conduct experiments and analysis related to chemical research. The degree requires 32 courses (not semester credit hours).
