Italian Studies majors demonstrate advanced proficiency in spoken and written Italian, identify and interpret significant concepts of the history, society, culture, and art of Italy, and select and apply proper methodological approaches to the analysis of Italian cultural productions within their national and/or transnational contexts. The major consists of 10 courses in language in context, core requirements, and electives. The degree requires 32 courses (not semester credit hours).
