Philosophy
Dickinson College
Philosophy majors identify and evaluate arguments to determine their validity, soundness, strength, and other logical features, and describe and analyze major developments in philosophical ideas from the ancient period through the modern period. Students articulate the scope and central questions of the major areas of philosophy and defend in writing their own view on a substantive philosophical question. The major requires 10 courses. The degree requires 32 courses (not semester credit hours).
