The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) plan of study in the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program allows students to expand on what they've learned as an advanced practice registered nurse to assume leadership roles in mental health care, research, administration and education. The doctoral program combines traditional coursework, clinical fieldwork and graduate-level research. DNP practice experience must meet a total requirement of 1000 hours.
