The one-year vocational certificate option consists of hands-on operation of machine shop equipment and classroom theory covering safety, blueprint reading, lathe and milling machine operation, theory and operation of basic Computer Numerical Control (CNC) equipment, metallurgy, and shop math. Students have the opportunity to acquire National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) credentials.
