The faculty members of the department of History and Political Science seek to foster students' competence and understanding in the disciplines of history, political science, and geography. They emphasize the study of the global human past, the institutions and traditions of law, government, and politics, and the interactions of humans and the environment as understood through geographical study, giving students the broad education necessary for success in many careers.
