The Master of Arts in Teaching in Secondary Education (9-12) leads to an initial teaching license with specialty areas in Mathematics, Science, English Language Arts, or Social Studies. Candidates complete core coursework, specialty area methods, technology, curriculum and assessment, content-area literacy, and exceptional children courses, and a nine-hour advanced clinical experience with required PRAXIS II tests and an edTPA portfolio.
