The Department of Science and Mathematics prepares students for a variety of careers in the natural sciences and serves to prepare students for graduate and professional schools. The Bachelor of Science in Biology includes a 71-hour major covering organismal biology, ecology and evolution, cellular and physiological biology, and applied biology, preparing students for medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, veterinary school, and laboratory-based careers.
