The terms veterinary technician and veterinary nurse are currently used interchangeably in the veterinary profession. This six-semester, associate's degree program prepares students to enter a career as a veterinary nurse in private veterinary practice, zoo/wildlife medicine, biomedical research, pharmaceutical sales, teaching, humane societies, raising livestock, or anywhere that the health and welfare of animals is a concern.
