Paramedic (Emergency Medical Sciences)

The paramedic is an allied health professional whose primary focus is to provide advanced emergency medical care for critical and emergent patients who access the emergency medical system. The training program draws its students from individuals who already possess a valid EMT national certification and includes comprehensive classroom instruction, clinical internship, and field internship. This training program is sanctioned by the Mississippi State Board of Health.
