Students identified as biological science majors take two years of basic work, followed by a major in a specific area of interest. Many occupations depend on an interest in and an aptitude for life science, including fish and wildlife service, forester, biochemist, biologist, zoologist, botanist, ecologist, oceanographer, teacher, pharmacologist, etc. Biology majors are usually interested in the study of organisms and life functions, and have a great interest in the natural world.
