For an Authorized Operator to become a Certified Operator of RDS, they shall be required to operate and log a minimum of 480 hours of RDS use and then have their performance in the use of RDS assessed and graded in person by an IWCA-approved evaluator. Upon successful completion of training, testing, logged hours, and evaluation, the worker shall receive an IWCA Certificate and carry card designating them as an IWCA Certified RDS Operator, and this certification shall be valid for three years.
