The Phlebotomy certificate prepares students to work as a phlebotomist. The primary duties of a phlebotomist are to obtain blood specimens using various venipuncture and dermal puncture techniques, facilitate the collection of other clinical specimens, and to ensure timely and safe transport of specimens to the laboratory.
