The LPQ covers three subject matter domains; ♦ The Retail Environment ♦ Becoming a Successful Business Person ♦ Loss Prevention Basics and Tools The LPQ does not expire once earned. LPF created the LPQ course and exam material with input from more than 170 loss prevention professionals from more than 75 leading-edge retail companies. The course and exam are continually updated by its global network of retail loss prevention professionals and its coursework, and exam committees. The LPQ offers value to: - Loss Prevention Managers - Store Managers - College Students - Select Hourly Employees - Supervisors - District LP in need of a refresher course - People interested in entering the Loss Prevention / Asset Protection Profession. The LPQ course, exam, and certification are open to all who meet the LPQ eligibility requirements. Experienced loss prevention professionals know that maintaining and keeping a good name is vital to a security career. Likewise, the LPF maintains the LPQualified (LPQ) name by establishing eligibility requirements which protect the value and hard work of those who take the LPQ course or carry the LPQ credential. The requirements below apply: ♦ to LPQ course enrollees, ♦ to LPQ exam participants, ♦ and LPQualified individuals. General Eligibility Requirements: - Candidates must have a high school diploma or a GED equivalent. - Candidates must be free from pending felony charges or convictions (or the military equivalent of court-martial charges and/or convictions). - Candidates must be free from pending misdemeanor charges or convictions involving moral turpitude ("moral turpitude" means an offense that calls into question the integrity or judgment of the offender, such as fraud, bribery, corruption, theft, embezzlement, solicitation, etc.). Specific LPF Requirements: - Candidates must uphold the LPF code of ethics. - Candidates do not share LPF courseware or LPF exam questions. - Candidates use the LPQualified (LPQ) designation appropriately including using it only after successfully passing the exam.
