The certificate program prepares the nurse practitioner to function at an advanced practice level within acute and critical care environments. Completers are prepared to take the national certification examination as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and become eligible for nurse practitioner specialty certification by the Michigan Board of Nursing.
