The purpose of the Christian and Pastoral Counseling degrees and certificates is to develop students to research and address the mental, emotional, relational, and spiritual growth needs of people in clinical, academic, organizational, and church or mission settings. These programs do not provide or lead to licensure, and they do not provide counseling certifications; they do provide a good foundation for non-clinical, biblical counseling in a church context.
