Detailed information about this program
NC3 and Copeland deliver classroom instruction on refrigeration system components and maintenance procedures. Students identify refrigeration components, describe refrigerant's role, calculate superheat and sub-cooling, recover refrigerant, perform system evacuation, charge systems, and trace electrical circuits using wiring diagrams. Completers demonstrate understanding of both electrical and mechanical HVAC/R operation and can perform key maintenance tasks such as replacing filter driers, low-pressure controls, valve plates, and compressors.
