NC3 and RIDGID introduce pressing for HVAC and plumbing. Content introduces types and sizes of piping materials suited for pressing and their uses, explains the design principles and function of various press-type fittings for copper, stainless steel, and PEX pipe, and demonstrates the safe and proper operation of manual and battery-powered press tools on copper and PEX tubing including preparation for press connections. Students' ability to safely and properly use professional press tools is evaluated through hands-on joining of copper and PEX tubing.
