"MATH TUTOR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: - Current NTA Membership in good standing - AA or AS Degree Required or Started at an Accredited Institution (Peer Tutors in high school do not require a high school diploma, but must be at least 16 years old) - 50 hours of documented Math tutoring - Competency proven through the following: Successful completion of Connect the Disconnect: Understanding Math Strategies Part One. Successful completion of Connect the Disconnect: Understanding Math Strategies Part Two. Successful completion of Learning Preferences Webinar. Successful completion of Basic Level Tutor Webinar. - Completion of training can be via in-school training, NTA regional or national workshop/conference, or by our webinars. - Payment of the appropriate NTA Certification fee"
