New River Community and Technical College
The Associate of Science degree in Social Services is designed for students who want to prepare for careers with social service agencies. This program meets the immediate need for trained service personnel to more than fifteen agencies in a fifty-mile radius. Upon completion, students can go to work in direct service jobs or choose to continue their education. Examples of positions include case management aide, social work assistant, community outreach worker, and client advocate.
