Designed for those new to the pool industry or working a pool maintenance route, the Certified Pool & Spa Maintenance Specialist (CMS) course takes you through the PHTA Service Tech Manual and provides knowledge of industry standards for safety, pool circulation and filtration, pool maintenance, and water quality, as well as an introduction to electrical systems, pool structures and finishes, heaters and controls, and customer service.

Prerequisites: - No industry experience required! - Successful completion of the Certified Pool & Spa Maintenance Specialist (CMS) course - Pass the CMS exam What You'll Learn - Pool maintenance and water quality - Pool circulation and filtration - Electrical systems - Pool structures and finishes - Heaters and controls - Customer service Course Format Options The CMS course is 24 hours / 24 PHTA CEUs. - Online Self-Paced Course: Complete the CMS course on your own schedule with interactive videos, quizzes, and exercises. - Instructor-Led Course: Participate in a live, virtual or in-person class led by a PHTA Instructor and connect with peers in real time. Exam Information An additional registration form and $115 fee for the CMS Exam is required. The CMS Exam is 1.5 hours long, open book, with 75 multiple-choice questions. You must bring a non-programmable calculator. You must score 75% or better to pass.
