Welding (32-hour Certificate)

Upon completion of the Cert I (32 hour) Welding Technology Program, students will be able to operate an oxy-fuel rig proficiently, weld in all four positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead) using the shielded-metal arc welding (SMAW) and flux-cored arc welding (FCAW) processes, follow proper safety practices used in industry, weld using multiple processes, and communicate plans and ideas effectively.
