The Master of Education in Early Childhood Education includes nine hours of required professional education plus a 24-hour early childhood core taken in either a Foundational or an Advanced option, followed by a capstone experience. In order to complete this master's degree and meet certification requirements, the candidate must have completed an approved program in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, or Special Education, or hold a teaching certificate in one of those areas.
