The Master of Education in Special Education (N-12), Mild or Moderate Disabilities, consists of six hours of required professional education, a 27-hour special education core, and a capstone experience. In order to complete this master's degree and meet certification requirements, the candidate must have completed an approved program in Elementary Education, Early Childhood, or Special Education, or hold a teaching certificate in one of those areas.
