The mission of the nursing major is to provide a student centered liberal arts education that develops nurse leaders to equitably serve a diverse population in a dynamic healthcare system. Graduates are prepared to make appropriate nursing practice decisions using research and evidence based practice, provide safe, patient-centered, culturally competent nursing care, and demonstrate professional behaviors and values that model the core attributes of the nursing profession.
