The Department of Biostatistics hosts the Gillings School of Global Public Health's master of public health program in the public health data science concentration, one of the first applied data science programs situated within a school of public health. The curriculum combines the M.P.H. integrated core, a practicum, and data science coursework that gives students the skills to employ cutting-edge tools and respond to pressing public health issues.
