Furniture Design
Villa Maria College
The Furniture Design Certificate program offers students the opportunity to study basic design principles and elements and together with a basic understanding of historical precedent apply these to the design and fabrication of furniture and other decorate arts items. Students complete an 18-credit core of course work emphasizing design theory, history of interior architecture, basic drafting for millwork drawings and wood, and metal and concrete fabrication skills.
