History is the study of how causes and effects in any endeavor lead to change over time, a philosophy centered on evidentiary analysis and critical thinking that is applicable across academic, business, government, and professional vocations. History majors are immersed in the study of narratives, texts, visual imagery, artefacts, and data sets so that they may build interpretations and communicate their findings effectively through written and oral communication.
