The Certified Production Technician (CPT) program prepares participants for careers in advanced manufacturing through training in workplace safety, quality practices, manufacturing processes, and maintenance awareness. This workforce training program includes approximately 130–160 contact hours and prepares participants for the MSSC Certified Production Technician (CPT) certification. Students complete four instructional areas: Safety, Quality Practices & Measurement, Manufacturing Processes & Production, and Maintenance Awareness. Through classroom instruction, hands-on labs, and simulations, participants develop the technical skills needed for entry-level manufacturing careers.

Exam Requirements

Participants must demonstrate competency in all required manufacturing skills and successfully pass the four MSSC Certified Production Technician (CPT) module exams: Safety, Quality Practices & Measurement, Manufacturing Processes & Production, and Maintenance Awareness. Each multiple-choice exam is 1–2 hours in length and requires a minimum passing score of 75% to earn the MSSC CPT certification.
