The doctor of medicine (MD) degree is granted to students who have completed the prescribed curriculum and who have been recommended for the degree by the Committee on Academic and Professional Standards (CAPS) to the faculty of the School of Medicine. The School of Medicine is accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME). The MD/PhD program is available to students who show exceptional interest and scholarly promise.
