The Accounting & Finance curriculum is designed to provide students with the knowledge and the skills necessary for employment and growth in the accounting profession. Students study accounting principles, theories, and practice, along with business law, finance, management, and economics. Graduates should qualify for entry-level accounting positions in many types of organizations.

The Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Technology curriculum provides the basic knowledge to develop skills necessary to work with residential and light commercial systems. Topics include mechanical refrigeration, heating and cooling theory, electricity, controls, and safety. Graduates should be able to assist in the start-up, preventive maintenance, service, repair, and/or installation of residential and light commercial systems.

Arts

The Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree shall be granted for a planned program of study consisting of a minimum of 60 semester hours of credit of college transfer courses. Courses are approved for transfer through the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement (CAA), enabling graduates admitted to UNC constituent institutions and NCICU signatory institutions to transfer with junior status.

Arts - Teacher Preparation

The Associate in Arts in Teacher Preparation degree shall be granted for a planned program of study consisting of a minimum of 60 semester hours of credit of college transfer courses. The CAA and ICAA enable graduates admitted to UNC constituent institutions and NCICU signatory institutions to transfer with junior status.

Associate Degree Nursing

The Associate Degree Nursing curriculum provides knowledge, skills, and strategies to integrate safety and quality into nursing care, to practice in a dynamic environment, and to meet individual needs which impact health, quality of life, and achievement of potential. Graduates are eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN).

General Education

The Associate in General Education curriculum is designed for the academic enrichment of students who wish to broaden their education with emphasis on personal interest, growth and development. Many courses are equivalent to college transfer courses; however, the program is not principally designed for college transfer.
