This course will provide instruction in a classroom and laboratory setting in order to perform sonographic studies of the abdomen. Classroom components will focus on concepts of normal and relational anatomy, physiology, Doppler principles, sonographic technique and appearance. At course completion the student will be expected to perform a complete abdominal sonogram. This is a CORE course.

This course is designed to teach students the basics of using Ableton Live as a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) on the stage in live performance and in the recording studio. The course will focus on navigation in both Ableton workflow windows, understanding the display, clip and scene navigation, MIDI functions, audio capture, wave editing, warp functions, track automation, routing within Ableton, mixing, and keyboard navigation.

A study of theories, research, etiology, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental disorders first seen in childhood or adolescence as defined by the current edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. Includes such disorders as ADHD, conduct disorders, anxiety, depressive disorders, trauma-and-stressor-related disorders, intellectual disability, and autism spectrum disorder.

Integration of theory and empirical research on a wide range of child and adolescent disorders. The course provides a comprehensive coverage of the biological, psychological, and social-contextual determinants of childhood problems. Specific disorders will be presented, describing their characteristics, developmental course, and epidemiology; outlining current diagnostic and classification schemes; identifying risk and protective factors; and discussing implications for prevention and treatment.
