Administration and scoring of selected tests, primarily WAIS-IV, to familiarize students with measurements for assessment of adult intelligence.

Techniques of test evaluation, administration, and interpretations in Health and PE. Emphasis will be on physical fitness, health related data, body mechanics, sports skills, and knowledge tests. Candidates will learn to use appropriate assessments to evaluate student learning before, during, and after instruction and utilize the reflective cycle to implement change in teacher performance, student learning, and/or instructional goals and decisions in Health and PE.

This advanced-level course integrates both lecture and laboratory to prepare students with the knowledge and skills necessary to conduct fitness evaluations, exercise prescriptions, and risk stratification of at-risk individuals. Specific emphasis will be placed on the administration of safe fitness testing using protocols published by ACSM for the health related components of physical fitness.

Teaching methods and strategies of sports that require more than one participant. While knowledge of how to play the sport will be taught, emphasis will be placed on the organization, management, and assessment of skills in activities such as, but not limited to soccer, handball, and basketball.

Study of verification & validation and related processes. Topics include techniques and tools for software analysis, testing, and quality assurance.
