Non-credit for mathematics major or minor. An introduction to the foundations of trigonometry, analytic geometry, and calculus. Designed especially for teachers of grades P-8. Helps promote a better understanding of the content, scope, and sequence of the P-12 mathematics curriculum.

This course includes the study of trigonometric (circular functions) and inverse trigonometric functions, and includes extensive work with trigonometric identities and trigonometric equations. The course also covers vectors, complex numbers, DeMoivre's Theorem, and polar coordinates. Additional topics may include conic sections, sequences, and using matrices to solve linear systems.

Development of interlingual skills (English to Spanish/Spanish to ASL). The student will begin to demonstrate an ability to produce dynamic equivalence 438 from a source language to a target language with an emphasis in Spanish to ASL and ASL to Spanish.

This course provides a historical and contemporary perspective of Spanish-speaking cultures. Topics include cultural values, group norms, communication, language differences among Spanish speakers and standard practices of the interpreting profession.

This course provides a theoretical and performance-based study in the refurbishment of stamping die trim steels. Emphasis is placed on safety, understanding tool steel weld preparation, welding procedures and revalidation of welded trim steels. Upon completion, students should be able to weld, grind and rework a stamping die trim steel back to an acceptable condition.

Orients the student toward the artistic interests and creative abilities of children in the elementary school, and developing attitudes of respect for individuality and creativity. Included are laboratory experiences with art materials and research into appropriate techniques of teaching art

Current trends and practices in curriculum, instruction, selection of materials, and derivation of procedures for guiding learning in art in the secondary school.
