This course examines the mathematics content and related pedagogy of geometry, measurement, and data analysis at the K-6 elementary level. Topics include: attributes of shapes as well as classifying, dividing, combining, and transforming shapes; meaning and process of measuring, including attributes, tools, and differing units and conversions; and designing and conducting data investigations. Conceptual and research- based framings and methods are explored.
