Special Topics: Latin American Literatures and Cultures

This course is an in-depth analysis of a particular author, a group of authors, a literary movement, literary motifs, cultural discourses, and/ or cultural mores pertaining to Latin America and the Caribbean. This seminar considers a diverse body of texts (chronicle, essay, narrative, poetry, theater, film). Active participation is expected from students, who must demonstrate critical thinking in their study of the texts.
