An intensive experiential introduction to the unique demands of acting for the camera.

This course introduces students to the technique of acting for television and film. Through scene study and text analysis, students will develop techniques for acting in front of the camera.

A study of acting techniques for film and television.

This course will help students transition from stage acting to acting for the camera and will cover basic camera acting techniques, procedures, script analysis and auditioning. Students will be required to participate in exercises and/or film shoots outside of class time.

Introduction to acting techniques for the camera. Students will read screenplays and participate in discussions comparing acting techniques for stage and screen. The student will work on roles and will develop the tools needed for on-camera performance.
