This course allows for independent research on a topic of special interest within the field of respiratory care. A written narrative of research activities or a literature research paper is required. Upon completion, students should be able to effectively communicate in written narrative form the results independent study.

Development of advanced written and oral communication skills through the exploration of a specific seminar theme. Includes critical approaches to writing and speaking, effective research methods, strategies for the use of information technology, and ethical standards of communication. Requires extensive practice in writing and revising academic papers.
